Psalm 8:1-2

 

Psalm 8:1-2

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.

Oh Lord of Heaven and of Earth

Your name I lift in awe.

The heavens and the earth all move

According to Your law.

How could You have conceived of them,

Some massive, others small.

You formed them with a single word,

And they answer Your call.

You know the number of the stars,

You breathed life into earth,

You separated dark from light,

And gave mankind its birth.

The vastness of Your creation

Is hard to understand,

But I can still appreciate

The works formed by Your hand.
