On The Way

The world can be overwhelming,
It makes me feel so small.
There are days I fear I am lost,
And no one cares at all.

But I’m not fool enough to think
That my prayers go unheard.
For I know whose child I am now,
And He hears every word.

So, when the world overwhelms me,
I lift my voice and pray
And then I stand back and rejoice,
Cause His love’s on the way!

Ephesians 2:4-5
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved

Silent Prayer

Tonight, I’m writing without words.
There are none I can find
That speak to my stillness of soul
And to my peace of mind.

Both are gifts born within a love
That’s so hard to define,
But I am grateful past all words
That You have made them mine.

I will not try to find the words,
But I’ll pray You can hear
The gratitude that fills my heart
And speaks out loud and clear!

Everyday Trials

Thank you, Lord, for Your help today
To keep myself on track.
Each time I tried to step away,
I felt you nudge me back.

Tomorrow I can rest a bit
Because my work is through,
But it would not have been so, Lord,
If it were not for You.

Tomorrow is my day to rest,
A day I need so much,
But I will treasure this day more
Because I felt Your touch.

I’m weary now, but I can rest.
I’ve done what I should do,
And that is in large part because
I listened, Lord, to You.

James 1:2
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds
