Psalm 15:2-3

Psalm 15:2-3
The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others;

You haven’t made it easy, Lord,
The standard’s pretty high.
I want to walk the path You laid,
And fall short when I try.

But I keep trying in the faith
That I’ll improve each day.
Though there are those days when I fear
I’ll never find the way.

Yet every time I fail to live
Quite as You’ve asked I do,
You seem to give me one more chance
To try and live like You.

And I will take each chance I get
To try once more to be
More like the person you modeled
And less like broken me.
