Dawn Draws Near

 

There’s always a new day ahead,

Despite what night might claim.

Stand up and in faith and watch for dawn,

Strong, in your savior’s name!

Don’t doubt that, despite what life brings,

God has a plan in place

And you have a place in that plan

That He has marked by Grace.

Know that the plots and plans of man

Are nothing next to those

Which God has laid out for your life,

And will, in time, disclose.

Stand up within the darkest night,

Turn from its words of fear.

Remember, God is in control,

And dawn is drawing near!

Genesis 50:20

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.

Peace and Joy

 

The things that truly mean the most

Are what we do each day

To help our fellow travelers

Find joy along the way.

The helping hand, a friendly word,

Comfort in times of grief,

Even the strongest find themselves

in need of such relief.

Though all the world seems fraught with rage,

We still must do our best

To give to those what we can give,

Then trust God for the rest.

For God can take a gift of joy

And, through His boundless grace,

Ease the burdens that weigh us down

Until peace takes their place

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Darkened Path

 

Tonight, my praise is from the heart,

And lifted straight to You.

I’ve found myself on unknown ground,

Not knowing what to do.

The way ahead seemed uncertain,

Where darkened shadows grew,

Yet in my heart I found a peace

I knew was born in You.

I don’t know where this path will lead,

But this I know is true,

You’ve led me to this darkened path,

And You will lead me through.
