My Strength and Blessing

The time of resting soon will end
With little rest achieved,
And I will start the new week out
Weary and unrelieved.

Yet, still I’ll start it out with joy
And faith to see me through,
For I am walking into it
With my heart fixed on You.

You are my strength when I grow weak,
Reminding me to smile
And lift up those who share with me
Each and every mile.

You bless us each with loving gifts
That we might know You care,
And when the world comes crashing down
That love is always there.

I start this week with little strength
That truly is my own,
But You are the greatest blessing
And strength I’ve ever known!

Psalm 29:11
May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!

In Deed and Truth

We speak of faith, but walk the world,
Both can’t be in control.
We have to choose which we value,
The ego or the soul.

The world offers its own delight,
A passing joy or two,
That pales when in comparison
To what true faith gives you.

There is no joy born of the earth
That matches heaven’s grace,
But it’s a joy we’re meant to share,
A truth we must embrace.

Speak out your faith, but live it, too,
Lest it should prove shallow.
For faith that’s truly lived each day
Cannot help but to grow.

1 John 3:18
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

Peace, I Give To You

Peace He offers to you now,
His peace is yours to live.
The world will bring you turbulence,
But peace is His to give.

Let your heart be untroubled, child,
And do not live in fear.
Walk in the peace He offers you,
Knowing He’s ever near.

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
