Psalm 19:1-4

Psalm 19:1-4
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.

It is astonishing to think
Of all it says to me
When, from the darkness, bursts forth light
Across the boundless sea.

It speaks in words I’ll never hear
Of glories that will be.
And yet I understand as if
It spoke to me clearly.

The night offers thoughts of its own,
With truth and certainty,
But dawn speak out in awe filled praise
Of His great majesty.

I cannot sit and watch the light
Praise Him adoringly
And not also lift my voice to
Rejoice accordingly!

So, as each dawn lifts up His name
In praise and thankful glee,
Let those words that I’ll never hear
Echo loudly in me!
