Psalm 65:9

Psalm 65:9
You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.

The rainy season lingers on
As it does every year.
Sometimes it drags on for so long
The world seems without cheer.

But, in those days of endless rain,
My heart’s filled with delight,
For I know that the rain brings on
A world that’s green and bright.

The harvest grows, the flowers bloom,
The rivers run in spate
To water lands that would burn dry
If winter’s rains were late.

So, I sing praises for the rain
And for the river’s flow,
For all the blessings the rain brings,
Oh Lord, I praise You so!
