Psalm 62:5-9

Psalm 62:5-9
Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress; I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.

We pass through life in just a flash,
A breath, and we are gone,
As generations yet unborn
Forget and carry on.

But He who formed the earth and sky,
Who holds all in His hand,
Is master of each breath and life
That’s born as He has planned.

Yet though we are a passing thought
To all of creation,
He guards us as a precious gift,
A blessing, everyone.

So, I will stand upon His strength
And place my faith in Him
Who knows the names of every star,
Yet loves us more than them.

I’ll trust the Rock, my strong refuge,
Though my time is a breath,
For His is an eternal love
That redeems lives from death.
