Psalm 102:18-20

Psalm 102:18-20
Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord: “The Lord looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.”

To the children yet to come,
In days that I won’t see,
I may not know the whole future,
But this I know will be.

The sins of mankind will remain
A prison while you live,
But you have already received
The best gift one can give.

For He has looked down from His throne
And heard His children cry.
He came to us that we might live,
And that our sins might die.

He set aside His crown and throne,
To walk the dusty land
That He had called forth into life
With a single command.

So great was His love for the lost,
That He paid the full price
Required to break free from the chains
That we form though our vice.

So, children not yet born to earth,
Raise up your voice and sing,
For He’s freed you from your prisons
And the sorrow they bring.
