Tonight, it’s just You and me, Lord.
Today is in my wake,
Tomorrow’s not my worry yet,
And I can use the break.
I rest my spirit in Your peace,
I praise You for Your grace,
And I thank you for giving me
This quiet time and place.
I love my life, the work I do,
The people next to me,
But being here, alone with You,
Is where I want to be.
This world can be a crazy place,
But it holds blessings, too,
Like resting safely in the peace
That comes from knowing You.

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O
Lord, make me dwell in safety.
