We often think we are the cause
For which we need to fight,
But that battle was long since won.
For Your love set it right.
It isn’t about us at all,
That much I know is true.
This life is meant to help us find
A closer walk with You.
But we spend so much time in life
On what we think we need,
That we lose sight of our blessings.
Now that’s a shame, indeed.
Lord, help me take my eyes off me,
And focus more on You,
That I might realize I’m blessed
More than I ever knew.
