Sisters and Friends

Sitting within the soft stillness
She rests her weary mind.
Knowing that soon she too will show
The years she’s left behind.

Whatever time she still has left
She wants to spend with them,
Rejoicing in their memories
And giving thanks to Him.

For He, it was, who took lost souls
And brought them together
To share the joys with each other,
And the hard times, to weather.

They’ve come so far, through joy and pain,
In bright seasons and grim.
Their lives entwined with in each others,
And all rooted in Him.

She doesn’t know how long she has
Before her petals fall,
But she will spend that time with them,
Family through it all.

Proverbs 17:17
A friend loves at all times, and a brother (or sister) is born for adversity.
