He
calls upon us to forgive
Those
who have done us wrong,
And
pain that festers grows stronger
If
it is held too long.
But
forgiveness is hard to give
When
it has not been sought
By
one’s whose conscience cannot see
The
wrong that has been wrought.
Yet
still we’re called to let it go,
Release
the pain we feel,
For
it’s only by forgiveness
That
we can truly heal.
So,
offer up that pain to Him
Who
heals us of all sin,
Let
Him help with the forgiving
That
makes you whole again.
Colossians
3:13
bearing
with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each
other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
