Sweet Memories

The memories come crowding in.
They whisper to my heart,
Reminding me of those I love,
Though we are now apart.

I’d cry if I thought it would help
To bring them back to me,
But tears won’t help to fill the space
Where their love used to be.

So I will fill that empty place
With each sweet memory
That whispers of those loving hearts
And all they mean to me.

John 16:20
Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy.
