The Narrow Path

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The way was wide and smooth to walk

That led away from God,
But tangled was the narrow path
That they, the faithful, trod.
 
Those whom He called to spread the word,
And those who heard their voice,
Were all who chose to walk the path
When God gave them the choice.
 
They lived their lives along that path,
In service to His word,
And, though the path was hard to walk,
They blessed all those who heard.
 
Thus His path was less travelled on,

And so it is today,

But wide and easy is the road
That leads a soul astray.

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
