Why do I have to learn again
Things I’ve already learned?
Why must you show me one more time
What I have once discerned?
Could it be, not that you repeat,
But I the lesson spurned,
Thus to the topic where I’ve failed
You’re compelled to return?
Again, once more, you offer me
The lessons I forget
Until, one day, I will retain…
But I’m not quite there yet!
