The Calm in the Storm

Within the deluge of the rain,
Beneath the driving wind,
I sought the shelter of your love
And felt the torrent end.

The rain had not eased from its flood,
The winds had failed to cease,
But when I learned to trust in you
I found a private peace

That shelters me when life is rough.
Although it’s hard some days
And my faith wobbles in the storm
My soul lifts up your praise.

James 1:6
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
