Where Were You

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Where were you when He called your name

And bade you walk with Him?

Were you upon a darkened path,

A road twisted and grim?

Or were you standing near the light,

Though not quite fully in,

When He called you to leave the path

That would turn you to sin?

 

Where were you when He called your name,

Led you out of the dark,

And filled you, by His grace alone,

With His enduring spark?

In that moment did you begin

To truly understand

The mercy of the redemption

That He held in His hand?

 

Where were you when He called your name?

Do you recall that day

When all the sin that you had lived

Was simply washed away,

And you became the child of grace

That you now are today?
