The bruises of a hectic week

Will heal in this day’s peace

And I will rest in the quiet

That comes with their release.

 

I’m grateful for this life I live,

For all You’ve given me,

But I am also grateful for

The peace that sets me free.

 

It’s in that peace that I now dwell,

To heal and to restore,

And why I sing praises of joy

To You, whom I adore.
