I’m giving in early tonight.
Today was hills and vales
And I am weary from the trek,
From all the day’s travails.
The ups and downs through which I walked
Left me weary and sore,
But in Your peace, I find my rest
To heal and to restore.
Tomorrow I will start again,
Lift up the heavy load
And walk the path that leads me home,
However long the road.
This path is not an easy one,
Despite all I that I do,
But I’ll walk that path joyfully
If it leads me to You.
