Praying In The Garden

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He prayed for strength within God’s plan,

But did not turn away.

There was no ending besides death

That would find Him that day,

Yet still He waited in the faith

That death would soon give way

To the redemption of the lost.

For us, He stayed to pray.

 

Luke 22: 41-42

And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
