Like quiet whispers in the night
The stars play peek-a-boo,
And the moon, snagged in a soft cloud,
Shines cheerily on through.
The wonders of the universe
Inspire awe in me,
But it is the peace of the night
Which sets my spirit free.
Lord, You knew what I needed most,
In fact, You always do.
When this world starts to weigh on me,
I find my peace in You.
