Be Not Dismayed

I hear the wind wrapping the house
In a dark, eerie song.
The old house creaks beneath the strain,
But it holds, true and strong.

I love the sound of winter’s winds
Whistling in the dark night,
They lull softly into dreams,
Nestled snug and tight.

Yet there are those who hear the winds
And quake from cold and fear.
They walk a world lost in darkness
Not knowing You are near.

Tonight I lift those broken souls
Into Your loving care.
Lord, hold them tight enough that they
Can’t help but know You’re there.

Isaiah 41:10
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
