Despite the Rain

The mist drifts softly through the trees,
And raindrops fill the air.
I don’t know what tomorrow holds
But I know You are there.

There could be sunshine or more rain,
The winds could howl and blow,
But since I know that You are there,
I, too, will rise and go.

The world can be a fearsome place,
We all have lived with fear,
But I will face tomorrow’s dawn
In faith that You are near.
