Redeemed and Sheilded

We walk a world that’s often dark,
Lost to the light of Grace,
And given to honoring sin
With no sense of disgrace.

It can be hard to see the path
That leads us through the dark,
Until we realize the light
Is heaven’s divine spark.

Though the darkness reaches out
Across the living land,
It has no power to harm those
Protected in His hand.

The darkness rises, but will fail
To accomplish its goal,
For His light will not relinquish
A single redeemed soul.

Psalm 31:5
Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.
