I
wasn’t my best self today.
I
gave into the world
And
let my anger show its face,
Its
dark colors unfurled.
I
knew before I spoke the words
That
I should let it go,
But
I was not strong enough, Lord,
To
not let disdain show.
I
know that I’m a broken soul,
And
I proved that today.
I
pray that in tomorrow’s light,
A
better me holds sway.
