Walking the Walk

The words may be sweet to your ear,
But watch the things they do.
Talking the talk is meaningless,
Unless you live it, too.

Don’t walk the path of treachery,
Don’t live a life of lies,
But let your words match with your deeds
Without demur or guise.

For if you speak the words of God,
Yet walk proudly in sin,
Then you a but an empty soul,
The most worthless of men.

But those who seek to know The Word
And walk the words they speak,
Will find the blessings of His grace
Mark every path they seek.

James 1:22 23-25
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
