To Shine Upon You

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The troubled world that we must walk

Can tear apart a soul,

And it is only by His Grace

That ours will remain whole.

 

It is not by our penitence

That we are born anew,

But by the sacrifice and pain

That our sin put Him through.

 

We can do mighty works for good

And help the weak and lost,

But all the good that we can do

Will not offset sin’s cost.

 

Yet, when this world weighs heavily

And trouble takes its toll,

There’s peace enough within His grace

To ease a weary soul!

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
