I sing a song of joy filled praise,
Rejoicing in Your grace.
Oh Lord, You took away my pain,
And left peace in its place.
I held onto the pain so long
It became all I knew,
Until that day You broke its hold
And peace came slipping through.
The world still holds a lot of pain,
But there is much joy, too,
And I will always find that joy
When I seek it in You.
