A song of praise as darkness falls
And wind tosses the night.
A song of praise when heaven shines
Once more with morning’s light.
A song of praise when life is sweet,
Lift up a grateful voice.
A song of praise when troubles come,
Though joy is a hard choice.
A song of praise in fear or faith,
It matters not which one,
For praise will lead us through them both,
Then help us carry on.
A song of praise that fills the heart
And brings us closer still
To Him whose love is why we sing,
And why we always will!
