Our Daily Bread

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Give us this day our daily bread,

We ask You as we pray,

But there is so much more we need

To seek from You each day.

 

The body does need sustenance,

But the soul needs that, too,

And, for that sustenance, the soul

Can only turn to You.

 

Only Your Word, Your Light, Your Truth

Will feed a hungry soul.

It is that bread that we need most

To truly make us whole.

 

Oh Lord, I thank You for the food

You always send my way,

But, even more, I thank You for

Feeding my soul each day.
