The
peace with God that we once knew
Was
broken at great cost.
It
took the sacrifice of Christ
To
restore what we lost.
It
wasn’t by the word or deed,
Even
the choice of man,
But
was, instead, a gift of love
Central
to the Lord’s plan.
We
will not have peace in this life,
Til
we have peace with Him,
And
without Him the life we face
Will
be hollow and grim.
He
reached out to us out of love,
He
sacrificed through grace,
It’s
up to us to take His hand,
Let
His peace have its place.
Romans
5:1
Therefore,
since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ
