The
ins and outs, the ups and downs,
The
struggles of each day
All
have to be faced with patience.
They
will not go away.
But
patience isn’t my strong suit,
In
fact, that suit is weak.
I
doubt that I will find patience,
However
hard I seek.
I
know I have to learn patience,
But
must it take so long?
I
wish there was an easy way
To
speed the class along?
This
world has lessons we must learn,
And
mine is to be still.
I’ll
swallow my pride, learn patience…
At
least I hope I will.

The
end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than
pride.
