Calm My Storm

There’s too much noise inside my head
The tempest of the day,
And I am seeking Your stillness,
That chaos, to allay.

The whirlwind that scatters my thoughts
Can leave me battered, too.
Yet I will not be tossed and frayed
If I’m anchored in You.

You are the peace and the stillness
That calmed the stormy sea,
And I am grateful that Your love
Offers that calm to me.

Matthew 8: 27
And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?”
