When Words are Not the Answer

Sometimes it’s okay to be silent,
Let the thought pass unsaid.
When given the chance to shoot back,
Just hold your thought instead.

Not every thing must be challenged,
Nor every word redressed.
Sometimes it’s okay to keep the peace,
Don’t annoy the distressed.

Not every wrong is as perceived,
Nor are they yours to right
Sometimes you simply have to let go
Before you start the fight.

If your viewpoint won’t be helpful
Then yours it should remain.
Your judgment may be unneeded,
Your intrusion cause pain.

You may not have the complete view
Of certain words or deeds;
Sometimes the silence of a friend
If what the instance needs.
