Today started out upside down
And then it went sideways.
It left me thinking once again
That I don’t like Mondays.
But I heard Your voice in my mind
Telling me to lift praise
For this was a day You have made,
We’re to rejoice always!
I know my thoughts are not Your thoughts
And I can’t know Your ways,
But I did as You asked of me
Despite my Monday craze
The day quickly turned right side up
And, much to my amaze,
I found it easy to sing out
My thankful, joy filled praise!
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all
circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
