The Word or the World

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There’s Pharisees and Sadducees

And false prophets galore

Still trying to distort His truth,

As they have done before.

 

He gave us His Word as the path,

He came to show the way,

But we keeping adding our own wants

Into his Word each day.

 

The world does not transform the Word

To fit the will of man.

The Word is the way of the Lord,

It is His perfect plan.

 

We have a choice to make in life,

One we make every day.

Will we walk the path that He walked

Or turn our eyes away.

 

Will we build our life in the Word

For all the world to see,

Or will we turn away from Him,

Become a Pharisee?

 

Luke 6: 46-48

“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built
