Painful Memories

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My thoughts are wandering tonight.

I’m not sure where they’re bound,

But I know wherever they go

Your mercy will be found.

 

You did not leave me in my grief,

Nor in my deepest pain.

I don’t believe there is time

When Your love won’t remain.

 

However far my thoughts may drift

Down memory’s long trail,

I’ll follow the light back to You.

For Your light does not fail.

 

I will not fear the memories

That I may have to face,

For I will walk that broken path

In the light of Your Grace.
