Little Moments

They hold on to their hope and joy,
Though winter’s drawing near.
It’s just the way that they live life,
Counting each moment dear.

We take for granted every day
The moments that we live.
Without our notice they slip by
With so much more to give.

But for them each new day’s a gift,
One that passes so fast.
They cherish every moment lived,
Make memories that last.

Perhaps it’s time we take the time
To treasure every day
The little moments that we’ve missed
That blossom on our way.
