Patterns of beauty, patterns of joy
Patterns that form the shape of a tear
Patterns of loving, patterns of pain
Patterns that touch all that we hold dear
Patterns of faith and of faithfulness
Patterns that prove promises unheard
Patterns of prayer, patterns of grace
Patterns that lead us back to his word
All the patterns that form by his grace
Can be seen reflected in his face.
