I pray that You bear patiently
With an imperfect me,
For I do not yet offer grace
With Your proficiency.
I grumble as I give it, Lord,
I try to hold some back.
While You give grace with a bounty
That I, clearly, still lack.
The instructions that You’ve given
Lay it all out, clearly,
But I struggle with giving grace
To those who trouble me.
Lord, thank You for the Grace You give.
Help me to do the same,
That I may learn to give others
The grace I need to claim.
Romans 12: 17-18
Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what
is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you,
live peaceably with all.
