The day did not go as I’d planned,
But then, it seldom does.
That day when everything went right…
It never really was.
Yet even with the upheaval,
The worries and dismay,
It wasn’t really all that bad.
In fact, it was okay.
You gave me just a bit of joy,
A splash of laughter, too,
But most of all I got to live
A sweet blessing from You.
I guess this day was not so bad.
Lord, I can safely say,
That any day I spend with You…
Well, that’s a real good day!
