I had so much to do today
With little time at hand,But someone needed me at home
And that changed what I’d planned.
We settled in to watch the rain
And pass a gentle day.
It’s been so sweet, it seems as if
You’d planned it just that way.
I know for most, the rain is cause
To grumble and complain,
But for the two us today,
We say, bring on the rain!
