Closer To me

 

I have been blessed with loving friends

And precious family,

But He who never leaves my side

Is most valued by me.

He walks beside me on dark paths

When I feel most afraid,

And He is there to lead me back

When my footsteps have strayed.

He loved me before I was born,

He healed me from my sin,

And when this life leaves me broken,

He helps me start again.

He is the one who blessed my life

With friends and family.

But I’d be lost, despite their love,

If He were not with me.

Proverbs 18:24

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
