What You See in Me

I see myself, with all my flaws,
And wonder how it’s so,
That You see me so lovingly.
How You can, I don’t know.

It is as if you place value
On someone I can’t see.
Someone You know lives there within
The mess I know as me.

Or is it that You see in me
The child of grace You wrought
Upon the cross in Galilee?
The one that Your life bought?

I know that I can’t understand
The value that You see,
But I can praise You for the love
That sees so much in me.

1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
