Psalm 23:4

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

The darkest road that I have walked
Was awash in Your light.
Though I may not have seen You there,
Guarding me through the night,
I now know You were close by me.
There was no need for fright.

Though I now dread what lies ahead,
I face it with true hope
That You will give me the wisdom
That I will need to cope,
And faith enough to keep climbing
The steepest, darkest slope.

Lord, even if I go astray,
Along that darkened trail,
You’ll set my course back on the path,
That leads through that dark vale.
For You both direct and correct
With love that does not fail.

So, I will pass through this valley,
However dark and wide,
Knowing that I will walk the path
With You close by my side.
