When the dark of night settles in
And all the fearful thoughts startI listen to You speak to me
Between the beats of my heart.
You tell me that the dark will pass,
And that the light is not lost.
You say that You will hold me close
While I am storm blown and tossed.
You tell me to open my eyes
And see what my faith will bring…
I see a spark light up the dark
And I cease my fear and sing.
Psalm 112:4
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
