There are those paths that look so right,
We follow easily.Yet, in the end they lead us where
We never meant to be.
We wind up in a bramble patch
Or way out in the weeds
With nothing but a long way back
To show for all our deeds.
It’s hard to know the path to take
Just from a passing glance,
But since the Lord walks by my side,
I sometimes take the chance.
