Frost and Joy

There was a touch of frost that day
That fringed each perfect leaf
And crystalized my every breath,
Though the chill kept them brief.

Yet still the rich colors of life
Shown through that frosty glaze,
Reminding me that there is joy
Even in such cold days.

I will not let the my thought dwell long
On winter’s biting chill,
When I can focus on the life
That beats beneath it still!

Genesis 8:22
“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
