A light broke through the murky gloom

And warmed a broken world.
Then all the heavens sang with joy,
Their golden arms unfurled.
 
The light, though small, when it appeared,
Soon shone across the earth
And all the heavens praised His name
Rejoicing at His birth.

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.
